Robert Bingham, "The Man Who Summons UFOs" Evokes A Sighting, May 2013

*According to Mr. Bingham, the entities are here to teach humans how to be "better people" and guide us to the next step in our evolution. Mr. Bingham also says that the abduction phenomenon is a lie invented by the media to scare people. It would be interesting to know more about Mr. Bingham's personal theological views, but as of yet I was unable to find anything specifically stated on his website. Nevertheless, in my opinion this video serves as a good example of the clear relationship between the modern practice of mentally summoning UFOs and the ancient practice of spiritualistic evocation or séance. If one is doubtful of a connection between the two, at least consider then why perhaps such supposedly technologically advanced beings would choose such subjective, arcane and imprecise means of communication as mental telepathy over something like a mathematical equation broadcast somewhere over the electromagnetic spectrum, just as an example. - Z5

"Welcome to The War Scroll...

If you are interested in the subject of UFOs, this page is a good resource library of videos, websites and books on the subject. The first thing you will probably notice is that in addition to some scientific and empirical work on the subject, most of the material here is taken from a wide range of Christian perspectives. My reason for including so much Christian material wasn't a case of my faith coloring my perception of the phenomenon, like certain fundamentalists who don't believe in life on other planets because of the way they interpret the Bible. Although I was raised Roman Catholic ( and eventually became Orthodox ), when I saw the UFO that set me on my journey to find out what the reality behind it was, my beliefs were basically New Age beliefs, and by the grace of God what occurred was that my study of the phenomenon happened to coincide with the renewed faith in the Gospel I was already beginning to experience at that time. As a result of this, the more I waded through the material and videos I came across, the more I saw that the popular interpretation of the UFO phenomenon...that these were spacecraft piloted by some advanced race or races of beings from other planets in our universe visiting Earth, on some zoological-type survey expedition perhaps...didn't really make very much sense at all when measured against the data. Their way of interacting with us and our way of interacting with them seemed to me too mysterious, too ambiguous, too protean...there was never any conclusive physical evidence to be found, channeling and remote viewing-type communication was always being expounded by supposed contactees and the like. In addition, the estimates on how many people worldwide experience apparent "alien" abductions has been estimated to be between 3-4% of the population, or roughly 150-200 million people worldwide, far, far too many instances of contact than a casual survey of the planet would warrant. Basically the more I looked at the material from this perspective, the more confounding the whole reality of UFOs became. When I came across the Christian material on UFOs and studied the phenomenon from a spiritual viewpoint however, it all began to make much more sense, especially the nature of so-called "alien" abduction. Here the idea was that on one hand, aliens are the latest manifestation of the age-old fairy-folk/demonological phenomenon. If you think of a classic vampire attack you will get the idea quickest. A mist or haze enters the room; the victim is charmed into paralysis, often some element of sexual manipulation is involved, blood or life-force is drained from them, mysterious marks are left on the body, there is lost time that can't be accounted for...all of these are fueled by centuries of stories of fairy and succubi/incubi experiences that the vampire myth is based on, and are eerily similar to countless alien abduction reports. Related to this is the idea that so-called aliens are fallen angels, as evidenced by the similarity of UFOs and their occupants to the descriptions of angels, spirits, flaming chariots, wheels full of eyes, powers of the air and messages of the spirits of antichrist in the Bible (see Relevant Scriptures below). The remote viewing and channeling aspect of communication with aliens on the part of contactees then appears to be a modern form of the spiritualist's seance; the entities routinely attempt to indoctrinate abductees with theosophical and pantheistic teachings about souls, the earth and the cosmos, and time and time again we see evidence that involvement with New Age or occult practices based on these teachings actually produces (or invokes) sightings and abduction experiences. This fallen-angelic (or archontic) aspect of UFOs in particular finds an interesting correlation with the scientific data presented by secular UFO researchers such as Dr. Jacques Vallee, whose work illustrates clearly that the UFO phenomenon exhibits both material and para-psychological traits; in other words, UFO sightings and alien abduction are at the same time physical and psychic (or spiritual/ metaphysical) occurrences. The gulf in understanding between the modern empirical-rationalist, Cartesian-dualistic worldview of today's mainstream scientific investigators and the reality behind the UFO phenomenon is bridged by Scripture, which in several instances describes angels ( both fallen and holy ) as having physical effects and characteristics as well as being spiritual beings (Genesis 6:4, 19:1-3, 32:24-28, Acts 12:7-9). However, all of this evidence only serves to reinforce by far the most important element of the Christian interpretation of the abduction phenomenon: the testimony of abductees who have been able to terminate their abductions by calling on Jesus' Name. To my knowledge this has been the ONLY power that human beings have been able to exercise over "alien" abduction, which to my mind is the most solid testimony as to the true nature of this aspect of the UFO phenomenon and shows yet another important parallel with vampire and succubus myths of previous centuries. Taken together, all of these elements indicate that we are at a point in time in our world where all of the paranormal forces from our myths and history are appearing with ever-increasing frequency. Along with them a new social ideal seems to be emerging in which the elements of globalism, environmentalism, pantheism and esotericism are fusing together to form the latest "spirit of the age" that is being preached by these so-called "ascended angelic masters" and propagandized to the public by their devotees within the Masonic and Rosicrucian occult orders, and now sadly, even among Roman Catholic brotherhoods. Everywhere we are being acclimated to the idea of communion with archontic entities in their various guises, from films and shows like Twighlight and Trueblood to I Am Number Four and Roswell, all of which present scenarios reminiscent of the story of the "Sons of God and daughters of men" in Genesis 6. It was upon considering all of these things that it seemed important to provide this alternative viewpoint of the UFO phenomenon for people, to put that perspective into a format (this blog page) that would reach as many people as possible as quickly as possible, and hopefully achieve 3 goals: First, to show clear evidence of the reality of this phenomenon affecting millions of people on our planet every year through the best documentary, presentational and archival footage available on the Internet, in order to show that it is in fact a very real phenomenon; Second, to clearly illustrate to anyone curious about the UFO phenomenon that there is a spiritual dimension lurking within it that is clearly deceptive and demonic or fallen-angelic in nature, and what the eschatological implications of that knowledge are for us as human beings at this point in history; And third, hopefully provide some practical tools that will aid us in discerning the Light from dark and avoid possibly falling into the Strong Delusion of the Last Days as described by St. Paul (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12) and St. John (Revelation 13).
Has the modern anathematization of the Christian teaching been by design for this reason, as a means of disarming us? As a friend from my church once said to me, "A lot of people think that God is the answer. But God isn't the answer, God is the Question." This world's wisdom is foolishness to God (1 Corinthians 3:19). God has His own plans which he Himself is no doubt carrying out. We may try to understand them with our rational mind but we will fail miserably if we try to rely solely on it. Our time is one in which we will have to rely on the Holy Spirit to teach us which way is right, because the reality we are faced with in confronting the UFO phenomenon demonstrates in a new way to us the gift and practical power the Spirit was to our parents in the faith: Serious investigation of the UFO phenomenon when informed by faith and the guidance of the Church and Scriptures yields spiritual fruit; we see our own time clearly within the greater heilsgeschichte or salvation history of the Christian race, one that forces us out of the realm of complacent and abstract intellectual curiosity and reminds us of our urgent need of katharsis in the here and now. The teachings of Scripture and Holy Tradition are reliable guides to our understanding of these phenomena we are now witnessing: First, they teach us that God is Light, in whom there is no darkness or shadow of turning (1 John 1:5, James 1:17) That is, neither He nor His angels manipulate us according to hidden agendas or abduct and experiment on us. Second, He is Love: Saint Seraphim of Sarov taught "God is a fire that warms and kindles the heart and inward parts. Hence, if we feel in our hearts the cold which comes from the devil—for the devil is cold—let us call on the Lord. He will come to warm our hearts with perfect love, not only for Him but also for our neighbor, and the cold of him who hates the good will flee before the heat of His countenance." He goes on to say:
"When a man receives something Divine, in his heart he rejoices; but when he receives something diabolic, he is disturbed.
The Christian heart, when it has received something Divine, does not demand anything else in order to convince it that this is precisely from the Lord; but by that very effect it is convinced that this is heavenly, for it senses within itself spiritual fruits: love, joy, peace, and the rest (Gal. 5:22).
On the contrary, though the devil might transform himself even into an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14), or might produce thoughts seemingly good: still the heart would feel a certain obscureness and agitation in it's thoughts. Explaining this, St. Macarius of Egypt says: Though satan might produce also visions of light, he is entirely unable to produce a blessed effect: which is the well-known sign of his works (St. Macarius, Homily 4, ch. 13).
And thus, from these diverse workings of the heart a man may know what is Divine and diabolic, as St. Gregory the Sinaite writes: From the effect one may know whether the light shining in one's soul is of God or of satan."(St. Seraphim of Sarov, Spiritual Instructions, ch. 27) That is to say, if we feel anything contrary to the fruit of the Spirit (such as the "body-fear" often described by abductees elicited by the presence of so-called "alien" beings and their ships) in any interaction with numinous beings or otherwise, we should therefore be able to discern their point of origin and intention, and pray and act accordingly. Related to this, we are to test them by paying close attention to their messages to us, for as St. Paul taught, no one can say that Christ is Lord except by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:3) "Beloved," wrote the Apostle John, "do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already"(1 John 4:1-3). Likewise, "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed" (Galatians 1:8). This is very important to remember, given that the messages to people by supposed extraterrestrials during abductions are nearly always spiritual rather than technological or scientific in nature, and usually result in the abductee's rejection of traditional Judeo-Christian principles in favor of theosophical and esoteric beliefs and practices which the Gospel places no value on. If any being attempts to teach anything contrary to the Gospel (that Jesus was an alien, that God is and alien, that aliens will save humanity, that they created us and are our gods, that the physical universe is God, to commune or have intercourse with them, etc.) you can thereby discern their true origin and intention. Related to this is the calling out of Jesus' Name through the Holy Spirit which has proved effective at terminating so-called "alien" abductions (see CE4 Research Group, below). Lastly and perhaps most importantly to remember is that before Christ returns and establishes His Eternal Kingdom, a counterfeit Kingdom or rule will arise on the earth through false miracles and deceiving signs which will wage war on Christ and the children of Light. St. Paul teaches: "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day (the Day of Judgement, the Second Coming of Christ) will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved" (2 Thessalonians 2:3-10). The Coming of the One True God will be instantaneous and universal, not a series of historical events where Christ comes to be either "here" or "there" somewhere on the earth somewhat like an ordinary ruler or king might (Matthew 24:26-27). Christ will only come after the Enemy does. In my opinion, there would be no more effective catalyst for a world-wide revolution than a visitation by fallen angels masquerading as extraterrestrials working false signs and miracles on the earth; the visible presence of numinous beings would inspire awe and terror in people, making them extremely suggestible to their wishes. It is clear how easily they could play upon secular prejudices and finally provide the longed-for voice of authority of the globalist/ pantheist "spirit of the age" while simultaneously sweeping up so-called alien "religious" converts and zealots around the world into a unified collective practically overnight. True Christians would have to resist this conversion, providing the perfect scapegoats for the false rulers, who could then portray them as obstacles and enemies of the great cosmic evolution and salvation of the human race, perhaps under the threat of global annihilation, that the new collective...the falling away, the rebellion, the newly-formed armies of Gog and Magog...might believe must be eliminated in order to ensure their own survival.
Although there are other aspects of the UFO phenomenon that are equally as mysterious as "alien" abduction, such as the ongoing UFO incursions and remote deactivation of warheads reported by military personnel at nuclear weapons facilities around the globe (see below, "UFOs and Nukes" by Hastings), and while it would be dangerous for anyone to believe that they held any kind of absolute knowledge in matters with such awesome and far-reaching consequences as these, it is my belief that this phenomenon as a whole merits, at least, very serious and careful consideration in regards to events surrounding the Last Times as described by Biblical prophecy, i.e. spiritual discernment through the Holy Spirit which one (hopefully) supplements by the teachings of the Ancient Church and Fathers. The few teachings already mentioned I think would be useful to anyone in the midst of the distracted and indifferent masses of humanity right now who are actually paying attention to the signs in the sky above.
